Project directory
Projects apply one or more Key Issues to a specific agency or community. Each project identifies the problem, responsible authority, proposed change, public actions, milestones, remaining barriers, and the evidence that will show whether anything changed.
Agency-Based Projects
Agency-Based Projects examine policies, practices, staffing, accountability, legal tools, administrative processes, or working conditions involving a particular public-safety agency. Participants can choose to remain anonymous publicly by keeping their names private. Unless a page says otherwise, Smarter Policing’s work is independent and is not an agency publication.
Community-Based Projects
Community-Based Projects address a defined public-safety condition outside the internal operation of one agency, such as lighting, infrastructure, environmental conditions, or community coordination.
